The background of Dawg's Biscuits; why natural dog treats and other stuff

We found out what went into dogfood and dog treats and it all started from there.

This is a family website so we are not going to horrify you with the details, it's enough to say that it could make a dozen x-rated horror movies, and have 'orrible leftovers.

So we researched and started making our own treats. Which we tried out on our dogs and our friends dogs. And the local vet. And the local health food nutter.

We met vets and nutritionists, homeopaths and a whole lotta dogs. We took advice, and we baked and baked. And baked until there were no freaky frankenstien nasties in our treats, only natural, human quality ingredients.

This was the start.

Then we decided that as well as doing no harm, Dawg's Treats should positively do good. So each treat was developed with a specific health function: a treat and a treatment, doing good by being good.

It worked so well that we gave up our jobs, sold our little house and moved out of London. We bought a bakery and a shop, and a place to live by the seaside, and with our trusty tasters, 'The Dawg's Biscuits' began.

This was the beginning.

The shop, the first (rough/ruff?) website, the markets: all these were part of Dawg growing, and with your feedback from them, Dawg has continually improved the treats, and with your help this will never stop.

So: Onwards! Because,... Dawgs: it's a health thing! And Fun.
